Apparently in the UK instead of Where's Waldo, they have Where's Wally.
Molly and I are in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania on our way to start our post in Jordan. We've only been in Dar for one night, but it seems like an amazing city with a confluence of African, Indian, and Arab cultures. Plus the food so far is great.
Since we've left Zambia almost a week ago we've spent ALOT of time on buses through Zambia and Malawi. The guide books deem Zambia and Malawi the "warm heart of Africa" and in this case they're correct. We met so many friendly people on the buses who explained their customs, helped us with their language, and informed us of the "correct" prices of street food. I'd highly recommend a visit to either of those two countries, and if you want a beach vacation Malawi is quite nice.
In Malawi we met another group of Americans who are driving overland from Johannesburg to Nairobi in about 10 days, quite ambitious. We hitched a ride with them to Dar Es Salaam.
Our plan is to relax for a few days and then continue via bus to Nairobi.

That is hilarious about Wally, even though the name Waldo is pretty interesting as well. I can't wait to catch up when you get back to Chicago. I love reading about the adventures in your blog posts.
